Here, you will discover what goes on behind the scenes at WPBizBlog. We have listed every tool that we are currently using on our blog.
Please note: Some of the links on this page are affiliate links to products and services that we use and vouch for.
We use WPX Hosting, a managed WordPress hosting provider to host all our websites. We have been using WPX since 2017 and are thrilled with their services. You can read our WPX Hosting review for more details.
We are currently running the GeneratePress theme on WPBizBlog. Earlier, we were using the Astra theme but switched over since we felt that the boxed layout feature in GeneratePress was better than that in Astra.
We use multiple SEO tools for different purposes.
We use Ahrefs as the all-in-one SEO tool for keyword discovery, backlink analysis, and competitor research. Couldn’t imagine using a different SEO tool.
For checking the keyword volume on the Google search page, we use the free Chrome extension WMS Everywhere. It’s not as accurate as Ahrefs, but it gets the job done when you want search volume on the fly.
Social Media Management
At one time, we had simply given up on social media marketing until we discovered Publer that gave us superhero powers. Now we can easily schedule posts on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. from a central dashboard and analyze the stats to fine tune our marketing efforts. Read our detailed Publer review.
Our favorite grammar tool is Grammarly. We are so dependent upon it to catch the tiniest of grammatical errors that we don’t publish any post without running our article through Grammarly.
We also use the free Chrome extension Power Thesaurus to search for synonyms while writing. It equips us to go beyond the usual vocabulary and try something new and exciting.
Finally, what would we do without Canva, our go to app for creating graphics and featured images on our blog? The best part is that Canva now has a desktop app so we can create graphics without using the browser. Gets things done much faster.
We use a number of plugins on WPBizBlog and it will be pointless to list all of them here. Rather, you can go through our list of the Essential Plugins for WordPress to know more. Here, we will list just the most important ones.
Akismet: Stops spam right in its track. Must use anti-spam commenting plugin.
Wordfence: The best plugin for WordPress security by a wide margin.
Sassy Social Share: Social sharing at its best with a number of customization options.
That’s it folks. We will keep updating this page as and when we use a new tool that is worth sharing with you.
